With an amazing score of 9½ points out of 11, Predrag Nikolić won the title of World Senior Chess Champion 2015 in the Championship held in Italy on November 10 – 21. International Grand Master Nikolić remained undefeated and only three of his competitors were able to hold a draw against him.
Nikolić was the top seed in this 25th World Senior Chess Championship for players of age 50 and above. The competition was very strong, and Nikolić defeated four Grand Masters and several International Masters to gain his title.
Nikolić is the star player of the first team of the Leiden Chess Society (LSG). IntelliMagic is the official sponsor of this team, which plays in the top Dutch chess league under the name ‘LSG IntelliMagic’.
