IntelliMagic, the worldwide leader in solutions for Availability Intelligence, announced the hire of Todd Havekost from USAA, where he served as Mainframe Architect and also led their Mainframe Software Expense Reduction initiative.
As large enterprises focus on maintaining continuous availability while at the same time controlling cost levels, IntelliMagic is continually expanding their software solutions and services team to assist customers in this objective. The newest addition is Todd Havekost as Senior z/OS Performance and Availability Consultant. Todd’s experience of over 25 years at USAA is a powerful addition to the industry-leading IntelliMagic team, headed by Dr. Gilbert Houtekamer who is an inductee into the Mainframe Hall of Fame.
At USAA, Todd led the efforts that safely achieved a reduction of 13,000 processor MIPS, and this translated into very significant savings per year in associated software charges. “IntelliMagic Vision is the best way that I know to see what is going on under the covers, and I liked the product so much I decided to join the team,” stated Todd.
“We always place a premium on hiring the best people,” said Brent Phillips, IntelliMagic Managing Director for the Americas, “and Todd’s experience at leading his former company to achieve the savings they did is industry-leading and representative of the type of insight he can provide IntelliMagic customers. These optimization initiatives took advantage of opportunities that many mainframe customers have not yet leveraged, and Todd and the rest of the IntelliMagic team and technology portfolio will be engaging with organizations that have launched mainframe MLC cost savings initiatives.”
